Sheffield Wednesday defender Lee Bullen has signed a two-year contract with Scottish Premier League side Falkirk. The 37-year-old former Owls skipper was told several months ago he would not be handed a new deal at Hillsborough this summer.
Bullen, who has passed a medical with the Bairns, told the Owls' official website: "I've had the feelers out since I found out I was not getting another contract with Wednesday and I've been in contact with Falkirk for a while.
"There are pros and cons in terms of moving back to Scotland and obviously the extra year on the contract was a big pull.
"But I'm delighted to sign for Falkirk, they are a very young side and the manager wants a little more experience to help shelter those younger players if you like."
The versatile Bullen, who arrived at Hillsborough from Dunfermline in 2004, skippered the Owls to promotion from League One via the play-offs in 2005, and has the distinction of having played in every position - including goalkeeper - last season.
