Swindon Town's out-of-favour defender Chris Blackburn has left the club by mutual consent after just a year with the Robins.Blackburn arrived at the County Ground last summer on a free transfer from Morecambe but failed to figure in manager Maurice Malpas' plans.

All seven of his Robins appearances came in 2007 before the Scot took charge at the club and he ended the season on loan with Blue Square Premier side Weymouth.
