Chester City have confirmed defender Paul Linwood has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with the League Two club.The 24-year-old joined the Deva Stadium outfit in 2006 and was voted Player of the Season for the last campaign.

"It's nice to have your future sorted. The club's done everything for me so I'm made up to have signed," Linwood said.

Manager Simon Davies also revealed his delight at Linwood's extension, telling the club's website: "It was really important for us to get Paul. He's been massive for us this season."
