Jackett keen to nurture talent

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is determined the club will continue its tradition of producing talented youngsters from the youth ranks.The Lions have brought the likes of Teddy Sheringham, Mark Kennedy, Ben Thatcher, Steven Reid and Tim Cahill through their system and Jackett, who was youth coach at Watford and Manchester City, does not under-estimate the importance of a good academy set-up.

"The important thing is to have good people running the youth system," he told the club's official website.

"We have a fantastic catchment area here and I am as committed as ever to youth development."
