Rovers resigned to losing Davies

Thu 15 May, 06:30 PM

Tranmere Rovers have all but admitted defeat in their bid to keep highly-rated winger Steve Davies at Prenton Park. The 20-year-old is out of contract this summer and has previously been the subject of two bids from Leeds.

Associate director Tony Adams told BBC Radio Merseyside: "The club have done everything in their power to make Steve Davies an offer.

"He doesn't seem interested and I think it's almost inevitable that he will move on."

As Davies is under 23 his future is likely to be decided by a tribunal unless any club bidding to sign him can agree a suitable fee with Tranmere.
