Coulthard, team upbeat ahead of Monaco

Thu 15 May, 06:27 PM

Today it was David Coulthard’s turn to sample the delights of the short version of the Le Castellet track, as Red Bull Racing continues its preparation for rounds six and seven of the Formula One World Championship, in Monaco and Montreal.

David ended up fourth fastest today, despite being slightly delayed by a couple of technical problems and some rain showers around lunchtime.

The programme included testing some new aerodynamic components as well as trying different mechanical set ups, using some new items on the car.

Overall, the team is reasonably confident that it heads for Monaco in good shape after these past two days testing.

Tomorrow, it’s time to rip the wings off the RB4 and set off for some low downforce work on a version of the Ricard track that features long Montreal-style straights. Sebastien Buemi is on driving duty.
