Cotterill has Wembley dream

David Cotterill is hoping the illustrious surroundings of Wembley can spur Sheffield United to play-off glory.

The Blades face Burnley in the Championship final on May 25 and manager Kevin Blackwell has taken his players on a guided tour of the national stadium to prepare them for the big day.

Welsh forward Cotterill is used to the big stage after playing at the Millennium Stadium for his country but admits Wembley is a spectacular sight.

He told the club`s official website: "It`s beautiful. The layout is similar to the Millennium Stadium but the pitch, at first glance, looks better.

"I`ve seen Wembley on the TV and thought that it looked spectacular and now that I`ve been that is definitely the case.

"It is great that we`ve been given the chance to have a look around. Hopefully it will be a great place to win the play-off final and all our minds are set on doing just that."
