Malone hungry to improve

Fri 15 May, 01:12 PM

Wolves left-back Scott Malone feels his game is continuing to improve during his loan spell with Hungarian side Ujpest.

The club's Academy Player of the Year is also hoping the experience will give him the chance to take on some of the Premier League's top wingers in the future.

"The standard of football is reasonably good," he told the club's official website. "It's not as fast and hectic as the English game at any level but the technical side is very good.

"I feel I'm improving out here with every game I'm playing. I think part of the reason is because I'm on my own now and having to mature and care for my own performance because I'm not playing with my mates at Wolves anymore.

"It's almost like I'm really having to make sure I do everything correctly which I think will help me when I get back playing for Wolves.

"I've never had as many wingers run at me in my life! Every team seems to have a right winger that has `got a bit' but that's going to help me, particularly if hopefully one day I've got Ronaldo having a go at me!"
