Preston chairman Derek Shaw is not concerned by the lack of transfer activity at Deepdale so far this summer.North End have yet to make a move in the transfer market, but Shaw claims that June is a notoriously quiet month for new signings and expects a glut of activity next month.
"We have no new signings but I think it is the same story for about 75% of the Championship clubs," Shaw told Preston's official website. "At this stage it doesn't really seem to have got going yet, but I think that will pick up over the next few weeks.
"Many players are contracted until the end of July and I think things will be getting going quite soon.
"There are still a number of managers who we have tried to contact who are away on holiday, directors are on holiday, chairmen are on holiday and there is quite a lot to do to put these things together.
"A lot of the agents and the players look at all the options and there will probably be a lot of last minute activity like their usually is."
