Ireland's David Hogan became the latest player to book his spot on the pro tour by winning the European Amateur Championships in Duffel, Belgium
Hogan beat countryman Mario Fernandez 7-4 in the final of the event and will now join the professional ranks for the 2009/2010 season.
"I thought I'd blown my chance of going to the Main Tour when I didn't finish number one in Ireland this year," he told Global Snooker
"I missed a couple of PIOS events so wasn't in the running on that and I was ready to put my entry in for next season.
"I'll have a few days off and then my coach P.J. Nolan will have me hard at work again, preparing for the Main Tour."
Wendy Jans won the women's event with Darren Morgan taking the Masters crown.
