Delon Armitage is encouraged by England's progress since November and is determined to ensure he remains a central figure.

Armitage is one of only three players to have started every England match this season alongside skipper Steve Borthwick and number eight Nick Easter. And, while the 25-year-old full-back's campaign may have ended with a 24-22 defeat by Argentina in Salta on Saturday, he is satisfied England are heading in the right direction.

"As a team, from 12 months ago, it feels like we are getting stronger," he said.

"A few guys have made their debuts this season, which is exciting with a World Cup coming up in two years.

"I'm enjoying my rugby. To still be playing for England at the end of the season is a dream come true.

"I want to keep that shirt for as long as possible. There will be some disappointing days like Saturday but we'll bounce back."
