Grimsby are considering Peterborough's latest offer for Ryan Bennett.

The 19-year-old defender has two years remaining on his contract at Blundell Park but is thought to be keen to talk to the newly-promoted Championship side.

Mariners chairman John Fenty branded Peterborough's initial bid `derisory' but they made an improved offer last week which is set to be discussed at a meeting on Monday.

"I need to assess the offer and the overall situation together with the manager, the chief executive and the board," Fenty told Grimsby's official website.
