Colin Calderwood expects fitness levels in his Nottingham Forest squad to improve considerably during the club's pre-season break in Germany.Forest jetted out on Sunday and will spend six days in the town of Hennef, where they will train three times a day.
Calderwood is now hoping the trip will help forge a genuine togetherness among his players as the build up to the new season intensifies.
"We'll be having meetings to discuss targets and objectives for the season and on the physical side of things we'll be working on their conditioning, so they can go up a level," Calderwood told the club's official website.
Young duo Joe Heath and James Reid and trialist Stephen Hughes were surprise inclusions in the travelling party to Germany.
Meanwhile, Junior Agogo has formally completed his move to Egyptian side FC Zamalak for an undisclosed fee.
