Bournemouth striker Jo Kuffour will travel to Germany in the next few days to undergo surgery on his troublesome hernia injury.Kuffour, who was last season's top scorer, will see Dr Ulrike Muschaweck - the same surgeon who operated on Danny Hollands last year.

Hollands was back in action within days after the surgery and manager Kevin Bond hopes it will be the same for Kuffour.

Bond told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: "You never know with these things until you get into them.

"I hope it's no more extensive than Danny's operation and I hope he recovers as quickly as Danny did."
