Juan Pablo Sorin has left Hamburg after the final year of his contract was paid up.

The experienced Argentina international arrived at the Nordbank Arena from Villarreal in 2006, but struggled to make much of an impact after picking up a series of injuries.

The 32-year-old made just 24 Bundesliga appearances during his two years with Hamburg and will now begin the search for the 11th club of his career.

And the former River Plate, Barcelona and Paris St Germain player may not have to look much longer after he claimed he has already received offers from prospective employers.

"I am going to prepare myself to play again and have fun on the pitch," Sorin told Hamburg's official website.

"I came to HSV because they are a great club, with whom I wanted to win a title. Now the situation is different, a different stage in my life is about to start.

"Fortunately, I have several offers, but I didn't want to speak to anyone before my situation here was resolved out of respect for HSV and the other clubs."
