Peterborough United goalkeeper Mark Tyler has admitted he would welcome a return to Norwich City - the club he supported as a boy.

Canaries manager Glenn Roeder is on the look-out for another keeper with only 17-year-old Declan Rudd as back-up to number one David Marshall at Carrow Road.

Norfolk-born Tyler is on the transfer list at London Road following the arrival of Joe Lewis, ironically from Norwich, six months ago. The 31-year-old spent four years with City as a youth player after joining as a 10-year-old.

"Norwich are a good club and at this stage of my career it would be great if it could happen," Tyler told the Eastern Daily Press.

"I still want to be the number one goalkeeper but if I had the chance to go to a Championship club I would bite their hands off. I'd love to come back to Norwich.

"As far as I know there has been no contact between the clubs and I can only speculate but you never say never in football."
