League Two - Watson lands Luton trial

Released Colchester midfielder Kevin Watson has been handed a trial with troubled League Two side Luton Town.

The experienced 34-year-old has linked up with former Us assistant manager Mick Harford, who is now in charge at Kenilworth Road.

Watson made 130 appearances for Colchester after joining from Reading in 2004 and played a key role in their promotion-winning season in 2005/06.

The Hatters, who are starting the season with a 30-point penalty, host Colchester in a pre-season friendly on July 29.
