Hunt-Davis (pictured second left) attended three Olympics and was part of the triumphant men's eight in Sydney nine years ago.

He was also part of the BOA's backroom staff at last year's successful Games in Beijing, when Great Britain finished fourth on the medal table.

"I'm really excited about this opportunity to work with the BOA," Hunt-Davis said.

"Having competed at three Olympics and worked as a volunteer at another I hope that my Olympic experience, combined with my business expertise, will enable me to make a real difference to the performance of Team GB."

Since retiring from competitive rowing, Hunt-Davis has been running his own sports coaching company and he will now work alongside Sir Clive Woodward, BOA's director of elite performance.
