Rochdale have signed midfielder Mark Jones after a successful trial spell and the former Wrexham player has penned a one-year deal. The 24-year-old spent the week at Spotland and has now signed for the club after reaching an agreement with manager Keith Hill.
Hill is delighted to have snapped up the versatile player, who was released by Wrexham in the close season following the Dragons' relegation from the Football League
He told the club's official website: "We have signed a good footballer and that is what we do. Mark is very creative and can play in a number of positions.
"We do expect big things of Mark but not yet. We have to be patient as we have to be throughout the season."
Jones is unlikely to feature in Saturday's clash with Barnet due to a lack of match fitness, but will play a part in Monday's reserve outing at Carlisle.
