Kanyuka and Ifil back for Robins

Fri 15 Aug, 01:00 PM

Swindon boss Maurice Malpas has been boosted by the return of several players, including Patrick Kanyuka, for the clash with Cheltenham. The centre-back has recovered from the hamstring injury that has kept him out of the first two games of the season - a victory over Tranmere and a Carling Cup defeat to QPR.

Fellow defender Jerel Ifil, who sustained a knock in the 3-1 win over Rovers on the opening day, also returns, but Jamie Vincent (knee), Barry Corr and new signing Mark Marshall (both match fitness) are not quite ready.

Summer signing Kevin Amankwaah, Sean Morrison and Chris Allen may feature after making the Robins squad against the Rs.

Craig Easton and Lee Peacock have also both been passed fit after impressing in training, leaving Malpas with a near fully-fit squad for the local crunch clash.
