Lorenzo again on pace in Brno

Jorge Lorenzo again outpaces Fiat Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi, third behind Dani Pedrosa, in second practice for the Czech MotoGP.

The Spanish rider clocked a fastest lap of one minute 56.595 seconds at the 5.4km circuit, nearly four tenths faster than his arch-rival for the riders' title.

The two Fiat Yamahas were in a class of their own - despite Lorenzo's protestations to the contrary before the race - with the next quickest rider being Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa. Pedrosa was almost six tenths slower than Rossi with a best lap of 1:57.584.

American rider Colin Edwards was the only other man under one minute 58 seconds as he recorded the fourth quickest time on his Yamaha Tech 3, while Pedrosa's Italian team-mate Andrea Dovizioso rounded out the top five.

  3. If Hayden gets beaten by Kallio in this race at Brno,­ Indy and Misano then Ducati will end up getting rid of­ him. In my opinion Ducati signing him bad decison.

  4. Hayden beaten by new boy Mika Kalio. This guy Hayden­ is a joke. I have always said Ducati will regret­ hiring him. Worst World Champion in history in my­ view. Has won 3 races to date. 2 on a circuit that he­ is very familiar with (Laguna) and 1 because Colin­ Edwards messed up the last one at Assen. Disgrace.
