LEADER - Woods -7

01.15 - Woods (-7) and Harrington (-3) both close with bogeys at the 18th. Woods will take a four-shot lead into the weekend. And there ends our LIVE text commentary for today. We'll be back at 16.00 tomorrow to follow what promises to be a fascinating third round. Thanks for joining me!

01.00 - Just a par for Woods (-8) at the par-three 17th. Harrington (-4) matches him. Meanwhile Westwood (-4) completes a remarkable escape at the 16th, recovering from a horrible drive to make his par and stay at four under.

00.40 - ANOTHER BIRDIE FOR WOODS (-8) AT 16! Harrington (-4) can't follow him in, and Tiger's lead is now four shots.

00.35 - Westwood (-4) joins Harrington (-4) in a share of second place with a birdie four at the par-five 15th.

00.30 - Harrington (-4) plays a quite incredible shot from a fairway bunker at the 15th, finding the green from 300 yards to set up an eagle chance. His putt lips out and he has to settle for birdie. Woods's (-7) second is through the green. He chips to a foot and picks up a birdie of his own to get to seven under.

00.15 - Fisher (-3) bogeys the 18th to card a 68 and stand at three under par. A disappointing end to a stunning round. McIlroy (E) has a disaster at the 17th. He misses the green and makes a double bogey to return to level par.

00.00 - Woods (-6) goes for the green at the short par-four 14th and makes it. His eagle putt is SO CLOSE to dropping in. It's a birdie for Tiger and he increases his lead. Harrington (-3) also goes for it and finds the front bunker. His sand shot is superb and he taps in for birdie to end a run of three consecutive bogeys. Fisher (-4) is in trouble at the last after missing the fairway. He'll struggle to make par.

23.45 - Harrington (-2) finds the sand with his tee shot at the par-three 13th and his escape races past the hole. Another bogey for the defending champion. Woods (-5) lips out with his birdie putt and has to settle for par. Fisher (-4) drops a shot at 17, his first bogey of the day, and Woods once again has the outright lead.

23.30 - Fisher (-5) continues his remarkable round with birdie number six at the 16th to move into a share of the lead with Woods (-5). The European contigent are having a fine day so far. Harrington (-3) drops a shot at the 12th to fall two shots off the lead. McIlroy (-3) has an eagle chance at 15. He leaves it short, but picks up a birdie.

23.15 - Harrington (-4) bogeys the par-five 11th to drop off the lead and leave Woods (-5) all alone at five under. WESTWOOD (-3) MAKES IT THREE BIRDIES FROM THREE! The Englishman is really making a move here. McIlroy (-2) birdies the 14th to get to two under.

23.00 - Westwood (-2) makes back-to-back birdies at nine and 10 to get back to two under - just three shots off the lead. The projected cut is at three over par. Fisher (-4) has another birdie at 14 and moves to within a shot of the lead.

22.50 - "Come on Padraig, you are a legend, whip those Americans!" - Belinda M

22.45 - Woods (-5) leaves his approach short at the 10th and three-putts for a bogey. Harrington (-5) is aggressive with his birdie attempt, leaving a tester for par. In she goes and he's back into a share of the lead. Fisher (-3) birdies the 13th. He's four under for his round today and still to drop a shot.

22.30 - Woods (-6) comes desperately close to another birdie at the 9th, but the ball stops agonisingly short. Harrington (-5) plays a superb approach that skips to within 10 feet. He takes his time...IN SHE GOES! The Irishman is back to within a shot of the lead. Boo Weekley (+1) eagles the 7th. Then chips in for birdie at the 8th. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

22.15 - McDowell (-2) drops another shot at the 18th, his 9th. Spain's Sergio Garcia (+1) is two over today through nine. Fisher (-3) remains bogey free through 11 holes. McDowell (-2) has dropped shots at 16 and 18 to get back to where he started.

22.00 - Harrington (-4) hits a cracking drive at the par-five 7th and follows it with a fine approach, but he ends up struggling to escape with a five. Woods (-6) takes advantage to collect a regulation birdie and extend his lead.

21.45 - NEWSFLASH: Long-hitting American JB Holmes has pulled out of the championship, citing an injury to his left hand.

21.40 - Woods (-5) drains a 15-foot birdie putt at the 6th and regains the outright lead. He started tentatively, but the master is beginning to come into his own now.

21.30 - Quiros (-3) falls out of the lead with a bogey at the 4th. McDowell (-3) also drops one, after a wild tee shot puts him in trouble at the 16th. Kaymer (-2) is now three under for his round through eight. Westwood (-1) plays a superb approach at the 5th, but missed a tap-in to waste a straightforward birdie chance.

21.15 - McIlroy (-2) is starting to fire. The 20-year-old birdies six, seven and eight to get to two under. He's the real deal. Could this be his week? Woods (-4) takes par at the par-four 5th. Harrington (-4) misses a 15-footer for birdie left and settles for par.

21.00 - Harrington (-4) makes a two at the par-three 3rd to get that shot straight back. Woods (-4) takes a par. McDowell (-4) rolls one in at the 5th and suddenly finds himself in a share of the lead. It's all happening folks. Fasten your seatbelts.

20.50 - "Tiger is in great form. He should come out top in second round." - r.karwal

20.45 - Harrington (-3) bogeys the 3rd to drop off the lead. Woods (-4) now shares the lead with Spain's Alvaro Quiros (-4), who plays a wonderful approach into the 2nd and taps in for birdie. McDowell (-3) birdies the 12th, his 3rd, to move into a share of second place. The Northern Irishman is yet to make a bogey at the championship.

20.40 - "I think we should be glad just to see Padraig back to his good form but we'd love it even more if he could outwit Tiger and win the tournament." - Creaven91

20.30 - Harrington (-4) and Woods (-4) par the 2nd and move on to the par-five 3rd. McIlroy (+1) pars three and four to steady himself after those two opening bogeys. Germany's Martin Kaymer (E) is one under through four holes today.

20.15 - All three miss the green at the 1st. Harrington (-4) chips to a foot and taps in for his par. Woods (-4) leaves himself a tricky eight-footer and misses it to the right. Not a good start for the world number one. Beem (E) also drops a shot after going in the sand. Graeme McDowell (-2) is level through two holes today.

20.10 - YOUR VIEW: Who will come out on top in today's battle between Woods and Harrington? Post your comments below and we'll highlight the best right here.

20.00 - The marquee group of Woods (-5), Harrington (-4) and Beem (-1) tee off at the 1st. Harrington splits the fairway, as does Beem. Woods misses left, but he's perfectly fine in the semi-rough. FISHER (-2) BAGS BIRDIE NUMBER THREE IN FOUR HOLES!

19.45 - Ross Fisher (-1) birdies one and two to get off to a cracking start. In complete contrast, Rory McIlroy (+1) starts with two bogeys. Els (-1) cards a superb 68 to put himself right in there.

19.30 - Singh (-3) misses a nasty tiddler at the last to drop a shot and finish with a level-par 72. Meanwhile, Harrington (-4) and Woods (-5) are practising side by side on the range. It's a rather touching scene. You get the feeling these two rather like each other. Poulter (-2) takes a par at the last to card a 70. He'll be happy with that.

19.15 - Glover (-4) joins Harrington (-4) and Singh (-4) at four under. Poulter (-2) has just one to play. Wilson (+2) is in the clubhouse with a level-par 72. The cut mark is sliding further and further back, so he should be ok there to make the weekend. The wind is really getting up now.

19.00 - Singh (-4) birdies the par-five 7th and the big Fijian is back to within one shot of the lead with two holes to play. Clark (-1) is now five under for his round today. That will take some beating. The afternoon groups are starting to head out now.

18.45 - POULTER (-2) HAS ANOTHER ONE! It's been quite an adventure for the man of trouser today. With three holes to play he gets to two under and has a really good chance of putting himself right in the mix. US Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin (-1) was supposed to turn up, be polite and go home, but he looks certain to be here for the weekend.

18.30 - Poulter (-1) gets one back! All hope is not lost for the colourful one. He has four holes to play and providing he doesn't move backwards should enter the weekend with hopes alive. Judging by the scoring so far the leading mark at the halfway point could be six or seven under. Glover (-3) gets back to three under with a birdie at the 4th.

18.15 - Kjeldsen (-3) moves to within two of the lead, as does Australian Brendan Jones (-3) , WHO SINKS HIS APPROACH AT THE PAR-FOUR 14TH to make eagle and get to two under through 14 holes today.

18.00 - The Big Easy, Ernie Els (+1), is two under for his round through 12 holes hovering around the projected cut line. Wilson (+2) is also precariously placed. The Mansfield man is level par through 15 and coule really use a couple of birdies to finish.

17.45 - Glover (-2) bogeys the 2nd, his 11th, to drop back to two under. Singh (-3) is the on-course leader, with Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen (-2) level today to stand alongside Glover in a tie for eighth. If you were wondering, the main attraction - Mssrs Woods (-5) and Harrington (-4) - tee off at 19:45 BST.

17.30 - Poulter (E) has gone and done it again! All that good work has been undone with a double bogey at the 1st. Singh (-3) falls back again after a bogey at the 2nd. The conditions are clearly playing a part today.

17.15 - Glover (-3) completes his back nine with a birdie at the 18th and moves to within two of the lead. Clark (E) bags another birdie to continue to march up the leaderboard. Meanwhile, his namesake Darren Clarke (+10) hopefully has a flight booked for later today.

17.00 - Donald (-1) gets that shot back with a birdie at the 15th, his 6th, to return to the red. Cabrera (E) is now FOUR UNDER through eight holes today and his challenge is back from the dead. Tim Clark (+1) reaches the turn in 33, three under par.

16.45 - Singh (-4) gets back to four under with a birdie at the 18th, his 9th, and now shares second place with Padraig Harrington (-4). Poulter (-2) drops a shot at 17, a hole he also bogeyed yesterday, to fall back to two under. Let's hope he doesn't repeat his bogey at 18 too. Poulter started at 10 by the way.

16.30 - POULTER (-3) HAS ANOTHER ONE! The Woburn golfer is on fire. He moves to within two shots of the lead with a birdie three at the 16th. Glover (-2) is also going very well. Donald (E) follows his opening bogey with three straight pars to steady the ship.

16.15 - PGA professional Grant Sturgeon (-1) has swum upstream with a couple of birdies early in his second round. Masters champion Angel Cabrera (+1) is three under today and moving in the right direction. The predicted cut mark is two over par right now, but it could go higher if the conditions make for difficult play later today.

16.00 - POULTER (-2) BAGS ANOTHER ONE! He's got back to two shots he gave away at 17 and 18 yesterday and put himself in a superb position early in the second round. Seventeen-year-old Ryo Ishikawa (+1) is one under today and making steady progress.

15.45 - US Open champion Lucas Glover (-1) had a rollercoaster 71 yesterday, but he's made four pars from par so far today. World number two Phil Mickelson (+1) birdies the 12th, his 3rd hole. Could that be the start of a push for Lefty? A 66 would seriously make an impression.

15.30 - Australian Geoff Ogilvy (-2) jumps eight places up the leaderboard with a birdie at the short par-four 14th. Spain's cigar smoking, fast-car loving Miguel Angel Jimenez (+1) is two under through five holes today and going very nicely.

15.15 - Poulter (-1) birdies the 11th and gets in the red numbers early on day two. Donald (+1) starts with a bogey to move in the opposite direction. WEATHER UPDATE: The wind is expected to pick up later today which could make scoring difficult and give a big edge to those out on the course right now.

15.00 - Poulter (E) keeps it steady through two holes. Singh (-3) drops a shot at the par-four 12th to slide back to three under. David Toms (-3) is away with an opening par at the 10th. Wilson (+2) now has five straight pars.

14.45 - Ian Poulter (E) had a disappointing end to his round yesterday, finishing with back-to-back bogeys, but he's still very much in the mix at level par. He's away with a par today. Darren Clarke (+12) is already three over for his second round and looks destined to miss the weekend. Wilson (+2) makes it three pars from three.

14.30 - Vijay Singh (-4) is off to flier, with a birdie at the 10th to get to within one shot of Woods. The Fijian played superbly yesterday and looks very much in the mood this week.

14.15 - Anthony Kim (+2) slips to two over with a bogey at the 10th. Adam Scott (+10) had an absolute horror show yesterday, shooting an 82, and will need a miracle round today to make the cut. He's also parred 10.

14.00 - Wilson (+2) is safely away with a four at the 1st. Meanwhile, Italy's Francesco Molinari (+1) is moving in the right direction with a birdie at his opening hole, the 10th.

13.45 - Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano (-2) opened with a 70 yesterday and is away with two pars today. England's Oliver Wilson (+2) is due to begin his second round shortly.

13.30 - The first groups are away at the 1st and 10th. John Merrick (E) makes a par at 10, as does Woody Austin (+1). Ken Duke (+2) and Tim Weinhart (+5), a PGA club pro, start with bogeys at the 1st.

13.15 - Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE coverage on day two of the 91st US PGA Championship. The second round is underway and we'll be bringing you regular updates. In the meantime, take a look at the links under the photo to catch up on all of yesterday's action and soak in some juicy feature content.
