LEADER - Woods -8
00.00 - Woods (-8) has a birdie chance at the last. He plays a superb approach in and leaves himself 15 feet...NOT THIS TIME! The world number one has to settle for two-shot lead and will play alongside YE Yang (-6) in the final pairing tomorrow. That's it for our LIVE text commentary for the third round. We'll be back tomorrow from 16.00. See you then!
23.45 - Harrington (-6) bogeys the last and will now almost certainly not be in the final pairing tomorrow. It's still a 69 for the defending champion, however, and he's played his way back into contention. Woods (-8) makes his up-and-down and 16. His tee shot at the par-three 17th finds the dancefloor.
23.30 - Els (-2) has imploded somewhat. Three bogeys in his closing five holes see him finish with a 70. The Big Easy stands six shots off the lead. Woods (-8) takes an iron from the tee at 16 and leaves himself with a lot to do. His approach misses to the left and he's in the thick stuff. A tough up-and-down awaits.
23.15 - Fisher (-3) birdies 15 and 16 to get back to three under. The Wentworth golfer is not out of this yet. Woods (-8) drives into a fairway bunker at the par-five 15th, but crushes a hybrid out and could yet make birdie. YE Yang (-6) is in the with a 67 to take the clubhouse lead.
23.00 - Woods (-8) drives through the green at the par-four 14th, setting himself up with an excellent chance at birdie. He chips past the hole and into the fringe on the other side of the green...then proceeds to sink a bladed wedge back! The world number one regains the lead.
22.45 - HARRINGTON BIRDIES 14 TO MOVE ALONGSIDE WOODS (-7). ELS (-6) BIRDIES THE 16TH! The Big Easy is just one shot off the lead.
22.30 - Els (-5) drives the green at the short par-four 14th, but three-putts and lets a glorious chance for birdie go begging. Kjeldsen (-5) gets to five under with a birdie at 15. Stenson (-4) hits the flag with his approach at the last, but has to make do with par to stand at four under for the championship.
22.15 - Harrington (-6) is one of just three players without a bogey today. The other two are Zach Johnson (+1), who carded a 70, and US Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin (-2), who has three holes left of his third round.
22.00 - Harrington (-6) birdies the par-five 11th to get within one of Woods (-7). Els (-5) chips in at the 12th to get to five under. Glover (-4) drops a shot at the 10th. Quiros (-2) takes the clubhouse lead after carding a third-round 69. Kenny Perry (+5) started the day at level par. It's not going well for the Kentuckian.
21.45 - Kjeldsen (-5) birdies nine, 10 and 11 to join Harrington (-5) and Glover (-5) in the group two behind Woods (-7) - who makes the turn in level-par 36. Westwood (-2) is level par for his round today through 10 holes. Poulter (+1) is three over for his.
21.30 - HARRINGTON (-5) BIRDIES SEVEN AND EIGHT to get within two of the lead. Singh (-4) chips in at the 7th to get himself right back in it after a bogey at six. Glover (-5) joins him with a birdie of his own at the 7th. This is starting to get very interesting indeed. McIlroy (-2) drops a shot at the par-three 13th.
21.00 - YE Yang (-4) and Westwood (-4) pick up birdies to join Glover (-4) in a share of second place. Woods (-7) grinds out a par at the 5th after a wayward drive. Singh (-3) misses a short birdie chance and has to settle for par.
20.45 - RARE MISTAKE FROM WOODS (-7). The world number one three-putts at the 4th and drops back to seven under. Quiros (-2) throws his arms in the air after a birdie at 16 gets him back to two under. He's milking the crowds today and they love him.
20.30 - Woods (-8) and Singh (-3) both come agonisingly close to birdies at the 3rd, but both watch on as their putts refuse to drop. McIlroy (-3) gets to three under with birdies at nine and 10. What a move from the young Northern Irishman.
20.15 - Woods (-8) knocks it dead with his approach to the 2nd and sinks a five-footer to get to eight under. He leads by four shots from Glover (-4). Henrik Stenson (-3) bogeys the 1st, but birdies the 2nd and 3rd. Poulter (E) suffers a double-bogey five at the 4th to fall back to level par.
20.00 - Woods (-7) comes up short with his second at the 1st, but chips to a foot and taps in for par. Singh's (-3) approach is a beauty. He has a great chance for birdie, but leaves his putt short. Meanwhie, Els (-2) plays a lovely tee shot into the par-three 4th and makes birdie. US Open champion Lucas Glover (-4) birdies the 2nd!
19.45 - Westwood (-3) birdies the 2nd to get to three under. Harrington (-3) makes his par at the 1st, as does Fisher (-3). Woods (-7) and Singh (-3) arrive at the 1st tee. Woods finds the rough on the left of the fairway with his drive. Singh splits the fairway.
19.30 - Padraig Harrington (-3) and Ross Fisher (-3) are underway. Poulter (-2) is wayward from the tee and finds a bunker with his approach at the 1st. But he gets up and down for par. Westwood (-2) takes a more straightforward approach for his four. Kjeldsen (-3) moves into a share of second with a another birdie at the 2nd. McIlroy (-1) birdies the 6th.
19.15 - Ernie Els (-1) comes up short with his approach at the 1st, but summons a delightful pitch to within a couple of inches. Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen (-2) goes one better, rolling in a birdie putt to get to two under. Stephen Ames (-2) of Canada is three under through seven holes.
19.00 - Quiros (-1) birdies the 10th to get into the red. McDowell (E) is back to level par, following a bogey at seven with a birdie at eight. Coming up soon, we have the all-English pair of Lee Westwood (-2) and Ian Poulter (-2), who are scheduled to give a whack at 19:13.
18.45 - Richard Sterne (-1) of South Africa is going nicely. He's made two birdies and not a single bogey in his opening eight holes. Woods (-7) is on the range alongside Vijay Singh (-3), the two-times US PGA champion who will play alongside him in the final pairing today.
18.30 - Flesch (-2) is now five under for his round today. A quite remarkable performance so far from the American. Hunter Mahan (-1) birdies the par-five 3rd to move into the red. The main attraction, Tiger Woods (-7) is scheduled to tee off at 19.40 BST.
18.15 - Rory McIlroy (E) is away at the 1st with a horrible drive into the thick rough. His second comes up short and he'll struggle to make par. WEATHER UPDATE: There is some light rain in the air and a gentle breeze blowing. Clouds are overhead and thunderstorms are not out the question.
18.00 - Flesch (E) continues to go along nicely. He's the on-course leader. Quiros (E) makes three straight pars at three, four and five. Donald (+5) is struggling. He does birdie the 17th however.
17.45 - Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell (E) said in an interview this morning he would attack from the outset. A birdie at the 2nd augurs well. McDowell imploded somewhat yesterday, but if he can just put himself in contention today who knows what Sunday will hold.
17.30 - Big-hitting Spaniard Alvaro Quiros (E) birdies the 2nd. A second-round 76 derailed his challenge somewhat, but you never know - if he can go really low today he might still have something to say at Hazeltine. There are plenty of birdies out there early on, however, which suggests the leading mark could be lower than seven under come tomorrow afternoon.
17.15 - Dustin Johnson (E) birdies the 1st to get back to level par. All the players will tee off on the 1st today, unlike in the opening two rounds where half the field started at the 10th. Goosen (+2) is in all kinds of trouble at the par-four 12th, but he chips in from a bunker to save par.
17.00 - American Steve Flesch (E) has got back to level par with three birdies in his opening six holes. Open champion Stewart Cink (+1) is one under after two. Phil Mickelson (+7) is not just not firing this week. He's three over through 10 holes and we can say with some certainty his challenge is dead and buried.
16.30 - South Africa's Retief Goosen (+2) had bagged birdies at six, seven and eight and is two under for his third round. Luke Donald (+3) has also got a shot back. He's through 10 holes. You will find a link to the third round pairings and tee times under the photo by the way.
16.00 - Good afternoon all and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the 91st US PGA Championship at Hazeltine National in Minnesota. The third round is underway and we'll be bringing you regular updates as the action unfolds.

Hello, Regarding the note on Graeme McDowell (17.45), the expression is "bodes ill" NOT "bodes well". The note should read "augurs well". This is an all too common mistake!!! Please note!!!
