Vuelta a España - Kocjan wins Limousin opener
Slovenian rider Jure Kocjan (Team Type 1-Sanofi) won the opening stage of the Tour du Limousin after a sprint finish in La Souterrain.
A group of 13 finished together and Kocjan got the better of Julien Simon (Saur-Sojasun) and Eduardo Sepulveda (FDJ-Big Mat) to take the victory.
A group of seven including Guillaume Bonnafond (AG2R La Mondiale), Dimitri Champion (Bretahne-Schuller) and David Lelay (Saur-Sojasun) had been out in front for most of the day before being reeled in.
Two riders came in five seconds back on the leading group of 13 with the peloton then another five seconds back.
The four-stage race concludes in Limoges on Friday.
