The Canadian Grand Prix should return to the Formula One calendar next year according to the race's organisers.
Canada was not included in the 2009 season due to a dispute between local organisers, Grand Prix F1 du Canada and Formula One Administration , which holds the commercial rights to the F1 series.
"I am very happy, and fully satisfied, with this outcome. I have always been confident of being able to resolve the dispute," said Normand Legault, President and CEO of Grand Prix F1 du Canada in a statement.
"I am especially pleased that an announcement is forthcoming to the effect that the Canadian Grand Prix will be back on the FIA calendar as of 2010.
"I never doubted that the Canadian race would regain its rightful place on the schedule, and my discussions with F1 management led me to believe that the event would return soon," he added.
Legault said, however, that he would not remain involved as a local promoter.
The Canadian Grand Prix had been part of the F1 World Championship since 1967 and since 1982 has been held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

Welcome back Canada we need your track back for racing,
as many they can put on F1 calendar it is better for sport and fans.
Are you looking for age gap relationships? My friends recommended me a very interesting place __ Agelessmatch @ com __ It's a nice place for Younger Women and Older Men, or Older Women and Younger Men, to interact with each other. Age gap is not a problem there. You may wanna check it out.

Francis S, about 800 miles from Indy, a day and a half. By myself, one day. Let's say I live in the tri state area of New York City. Across the Hudson River. No Staten Island.

it would be nice to frickin know what the GD date will be..called the FIA...called the track..big babies no one will release the dang date yet
mad max shouldnt have got rid of it in the 1st place
NICE TRACK WITH MANY PASSING POINTS!! GOOD FOR F1
Bring back Canada, the US, and Mexico. Canada one of the best circuits in the world, and Indy, but a revised edition, they should add more of the super speedway, Mexico, that's a respectable circuit as well. Now for South Africa and then we'll have a real F1 world championship, and how can their be a world championship with no F1 races in Africa. Maybe Bernie might consider Eygpt, and run part of the circuit through King Tut's pyramid, at least they won't have to look far for sand for their sand traps, but I hope they refine the sand, a dead mummy might be in the sand.
@ Harleyboy. 5o cars, 50 tracks and 50 first turns even the last car on the pole will be visible at the first turn. lol.
I have herd that the price of the F1 passes are being increased to meet the demands of Bernie's greaddy cash grab to bring the show over to Canada , I'll go again but there better be some passing on the track dam it!!!!!!!!
Francis S. ANYTIME.........................Invite is good, always. Remember, no cheap wine or beer or food on my table. Get your motorcycle license and we can ride out to Indy on the bikes, seeing as how I got 2.
best F1 drivers as of now in my opinion, driver skill right now
Hamilton, Massa, Kimi, Alonso, Rubens, don't care too much about ranking the rest
I dont think Button is excited at all, I think he is absolutely papping his pants. Rubens ,Hamilton and even Kimmi are all much better drivers than him and this will result in Rubens taking the title!
Francis, if you persist in tying to write in an "accent", at least get it right. The two wheeled machine is a "motorsickle" and American is "Merkin", as in a pubic wig!
The writen language is largely the same, despite your attempts to write as though you are some kind of Yankee backwoodsman (including the bad spelling and grammar). Quelle wanquer, as the French might say.
thats badnews fer hampstar . he dont go to well whan walls are close buy. monaco , monza. ole hampstar might wanna try runnin on one of tham ther airport races. there aint nothin ya can hit cept may be fer an airplain.
