Northampton caretaker manager Ian Sampson has appointed former Sunderland boss Malcolm Crosby to his coaching staff.
Sampson`s first game in charge after the sacking of Stuart Gray ended in a 5-2 defeat at Notts County on Saturday and Sampson has moved quickly to bring in some experienced help.
Sampson said: "Malcolm is someone I know from my days at Sunderland and I have a huge amount of respect for him. He was a big influence on my playing career."
He added: "He is vastly experienced and he is coming in to help us out. He has worked at all levels of the game and I know he can benefit us. He will help with the coaching and I am keen to have his input.
"As a young coach and manager looking to do the very best I can I would be foolish not to tap in to such experience when it is available and I`m delighted he is joining us."

I just copied this off wikipedia.....hope it clears this debate up
"Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) are a folk rock supergroup made up of David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, also known as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) when joined by occasional fourth member Neil Young. They are noted for their intricate vocal harmonies, often tumultuous interpersonal relationships, political activism, and lasting influence on music and culture"
