Norwich manager Paul Lambert insisted that the penalty which saw them crash to defeat at MK Dons should not have been awarded.
Norwich had a dream start when Chris Martin scored from the edge of the box but a Jason Puncheon free-kick put the Dons level. Roger East then pointed to the spot for the decisive penalty after refusing first-half claims when Grant Holt appeared to be pushed by Dean Lewington.
Peter Leven scored from the spot and Lambert said: "I thought we should have had a penalty when Grant went down so if that's not a penalty then neither is the one they got."
He added: "My lads didn't think it was a penalty but the referee wasn't very good all night. I just can't fault the effort my lads have put in and there's no way that we deserved to lose the game. It's a really tough place to come to but we've put in a performance.
"We've ended the match with three 17-year-olds on the pitch and the effort of the players was extraordinary. It's taken a free-kick and a penalty to beat us and I cant ask anymore from the lads."

Super Bowel - it's a load of c**p, of course I meant Bowl - will go and write a thousand times "I mean bowl not bowel" . . .
Super Bowel?!
What a shame that managers and players are so short of brain cells that they haven't twigged that once a referee has made their decision, good or bad, they will stick by it.
They are human (???) and they do make mistakes, sometimes more often than not! We can only hope that they try to be consistent in their decisions. With 2 linesmen (sorry referees assistants) added to the equation, then life becomes more difficult.
Perhaps leafs should be taken out of Rugby and American Football books - the first is that if the referee is given disent over a decision then the free kick is moved 10 metres further down the pitch - of course that might end in a penalty if the original free kick is just outside the box! and secondly, I believe that officials in American Football are always in the same team so they get used to working with each other. Apparently the only time they're not is at the super bowel when the officials are chosen based on their weekly scores, so the SB team probably haven't been together at all, which accounts for some wierd decisions!!
Perhaps though if we connected all the arm waving to electrical generators no club would need to buy in any electric for their flood lights - Martin huffed and waved enough to light up the whole of Norwich last night!
