Park Ji-sung has agreed a contract extension that will keep him at Manchester United until 2012.
The agency responsible for negotiating Park's contract, JS Limited, confirmed the news in a statement released in Asia on Monday afternoon.
"Park and Man United agreed on a three-year deal. The contract will expire June 30, 2012. But we can't reveal the salary due to a mutual agreement," said the statement.
It was widely expected the 28-year-old would remain at Old Trafford.
Park joined United from PSV Eindhoven for a modest £2million in 2005, and the South Korean star has proved to be a valuable member of Sir Alex Ferguson's squad.
He was involved in last season's Champions League final - after not even making the squad 12 months previously - and featured in 25 matches during United's successful Premier League campaign.
During the Red Devils' Far East tour this summer, Ferguson confirmed his belief that a deal would be done with Park, whose wages are estimated at around £65,000-a-week.
It is widely anticipated United will confirm the news themselves in the near future.

Park is class and I'm glad he's staying on. He could be a starter on many mid-table clubs but he loves United and I've never seen him give anything less than 100%. It's true he's no world beater, but much like Michael Owen, a club of our size desperately needs players like this to come off the bench or cover injury in order to have a successful season. I used to think a club of our size was wasting squad space / money with guys like Fletcher / Park / O'Shea, but they've proved me wrong everytime they hit the pitch.
Will he get he's seat replaced or repaired as well on the sub's bench as that must be worn out by now, if i was him i would of written that into the new contract ;)
nice one. he can do what tevez did but whinge less. he's a class player!
how can you say man utd are the best team in the world?
surely thats barcelona who destroyed man utd in champions league final.
your all glory hunters anyway.
he is rubbish, another generic man u player that does nothing.
Good job. Park is very important to united. One of the few who came provide that offensive and defending attributes. His energy level is extraordinary. Good he stays in the best football club in the world
