Rob Huff tested his Chevrolet Cruze at Pembrey while Bulgarian Vladimir Arabadzhiev also enjoyed a run-out in the World Touring Car Championship vehicle.
Huff looked at several technical options during the single-day test, which saw International Formula Master Series star Arabadzhiev (pictured left with Huff), 25, step into a World Championship car for the first time.
He has previously raced in Euro F3000 and Italian F3.
"To spend a day working with a WTCC's works team has been a great opportunity for me," Arabadzhiev said.
"It doesn't happen often that young formula drivers are given a chance to explore other motorsports' top disciplines, like touring cars, in such a professional environment.
"It was a very interesting experience, as it was quite unusual to drive a front-wheel drive race car for the first time.
"The team was very helpful in getting me comfortable in the car and building my confidence before giving me a new set of tyres to do a qualifying run before a 10-lap race run.
"Rob Huff was available to give me some tips regarding his car and this proved useful in improving my lap-times."
