Norwich midfielder Darel Russell felt that the Canaries were dealt a cruel blow in the 2-0 defeat at Reading on Saturday. The Royals took the lead through a Stephen Hunt penalty which was awarded when Mark Fotheringham handled the ball but Russell insists that the decision was harsh.
He said: "It was disappointing and gutting at the same time.
"We all sat in the dressing room flabbergasted at what happened to us and it was a total shock.
"I didn't think it was a penalty. Mark Fotheringham was nudged and the ball landed on the top of his shoulder so there are two cases but that's football.
"But it was a human decision, it's not robotic and these things happen. There is nothing you can do about it and we just have to get on with it."
