Sturrock eyeing Argyle revival

Mon 15 Dec, 05:00 PM

Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock is hoping his side take confidence from their late revival in the 1-1 draw with QPR ahead of the trip to Barnsley.Substitute Steve MacLean's 83rd minute strike ended the Argyle's three-match losing streak.

Sturrock, whose side then pushed on for a late winner, employing four forwards, said: "I am hoping that we might judge that like a win today and take the confidence from it into the next game.

"The impetus was with us and I wanted us to push on and win it after we scored.

"That's two games we have played a high tempo - a wee bit different from what we have done in the past - and it is definitely starting to work."
