Wright to release midfield pair

Mon 15 Dec, 03:15 PM

Chester boss Mark Wright has revealed that midfield duo Tony Dinning and David Mannix are surplus to requirements at the club.Wright, who is hoping to bring in some new faces when the January transfer window opens, has informed both players they have no future at Deva Stadium.

He told the Chester Standard: "I've told Tony Dinning that he won't play for us. That's not being disrespectful to him, it's just that he's not fit enough and he can't play the game that I want him to play.

"So he's now got to work hard to get himself fit and get himself in the window. He's accepted that when January comes then we'll have a look at it.

"David Mannix is also not wanted by me. There have been certain things that have gone on behind the scenes such as him being disrespectful to our physio, so he has no future with us. We're now going to work to try and get him a football club."
