Mandaric tribute to loyal Owls

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric claims Owls fans are the most loyal he has ever come across during his time in football.

Mandaric, 73, has championed the club's supporters since taking control in December 2010 and said he wants to reward them with the chance to buy discounted season tickets for the 2011/12 campaign regardless of which division the Owls are in.

Mandaric said: "As I have said many times before, the loyalty of our supporters just amazes me. I have never known anything like it at this club from all my years in football.

"They have backed us in their thousands this season at home and away as we all aim for the same goal of promotion.

"It is really important to reward our supporters with the chance to buy their season tickets early at a cheaper price, irrespective of the division in which we are playing next season.

"We desperately want that to be the Championship and want as many supporters on board as possible for what has been an incredible journey so far."
