The Addicks looked to be cruising to a fourth straight home win in the league thanks to Darren Ambrose's early strike - his second goal against Watford this season - and a Dan Shittu own goal.

But the half-time introduction of John-Joe O'Toole proved the catalyst behind Watford's unlikely comeback.

The teenage midfielder took his tally for the season to four before Shittu scored for the second time in a dramatic afternoon at The Valley.

Jonathan Walters continued his rich goalscoring form as Ipswich enhanced their promotion credentials as they beat Blackpool 2-1.

The former Blackburn trainee, 24, notched his 12th goal of the season shortly before the hour mark to add to Velice Sumulikoski's stunning 50th-minute opener.

The two quick goals accounted for a spirited Blackpool side who lost both their centre-backs - Ian Evatt and Michael Jackson - through injury in the first half.

Paul Dickov handed the Seasiders a controversial lifeline late on but the Tractor Boys held on for their 12th win from 17 home games this term.

Darel Russell was sent off as Norwich's 13-game unbeaten run came crashing to a halt at the Walkers Stadium where Leicester ripped up the Championship form guide with a 4-0.

The Foxes had lost their last three league matches, while Norwich, who had climbed from second-bottom to within six points of the play-offs, had triumphed in their previous three games on the road.

But Iain Hume's first-half effort and further strikes in the second period from Steve Howard, DJ Campbell and Stephen Clemence secured Ian Holloway's side a first win in four games.

Colchester picked up a crucial point in their fight to avoid the drop by grinding out a 1-1 draw at play-off chasing Hull.

An impressive strike from Johnnie Jackson put the visitors in front with the first attack of the second half, but Fraizer Campbell equalised after 64 minutes.
