Defender Liam Ridgewell has set his sights on cementing a first-team spot at West Brom after impressing on his debut in the 5-1 demolition of Wolves last Sunday.
Ridgewell had to wait patiently for his chance after making the move from Birmingham to The Hawthorns on the final day of the transfer window.
Baggies boss Roy Hodgson had cast doubts over Ridgewell's match fitness after being sidelined with a hamstring injury but he showed no signs of fatigue after replacing Nicky Shorey in the side.
Ridgewell said: "I only found out I was playing on the day of the game. I was ready and raring to go.
"It was always going to be difficult to change the team that had done well in drawing at Fulham. But I was ready to take my chance and to show people what I can do. It was a good start and hopefully I can carry on that."

Mick's better off wihout the dog 'eads lets face it - come on you baggies, up for Europe next season...
They don't walk around in pairs, they walk around in 5's, 1 for each goal we shoved past them last week!! Boing Boing
sjs101 - It's a known fact the Dingles go around in pairs - one to read and one to write. I have heard that there is sometimes a third if something needs to be counted but, as they don't score that many, that's only a rumour
That can't be right?-Surely there can't be TWO Dingles that can read AND write?
Probably for the same reason as we have to put up with info on the sad Dog Heads in ORANGE (old Gold My Danglers)
Well said branoox!!
