New boss Simon Davies slammed Chester's efforts after defeat at Barnet meant they have lost five on the trot with just one win in 18 matches.Mark Hughes' scrambled effort in the last few minutes was scant consolation to Chester, who have faded away badly after a promising start to the season.
Davies said: "I was frustrated with our three previous defeats because I felt we played quite well and got nothing out of them.
"But today I feel angry, disappointed and worried if I'm honest because if we continue to put in performances like this, we are going to be in a lot of trouble.
"I'm not sure about the penalty, it looked a bit harsh, but I'm not going to stand here and complain about it when Barnet could easily have scored four or five more goals.
"I'm not under an illusion about the tasks ahead, but it's about the club, the supporters and, most of all, the players who have to turn this situation around."
