An inspirational half-time teamtalk from Paul Fairclough sparked the goals which took Barnet to a 3-1 victory over fellow strugglers Chester.The Bees boss demanded a tiny increase in emotional effort and his call was answered by a Cliff Akurang double and a spectacular effort from Albert Adomah as the hosts leap-frogged their opponents in the table.

Fairclough said: "At half-time I just wrote on the board in large letters 2% because I felt it was that increase in emotional effort that would make all the difference.

"If you ask for 10% that's a hell of a lot more for a player to give, whereas an extra 2% from every player gives you collectively 22% more on the pitch."
