Manager Stuart Gray hailed a "great performance" after Northampton beat league leaders Swansea 4-2 at Sixfields to renew their play-off hopes. The Cobblers boosted their promotion credentials thanks to two goals from Poul Hubertz, one from Danny Jackman and an own-goal from Alan Tate.
Gray said: "It's great to get the result, but I also got a great performance from the players today.
"We started brightly straight from the kick-off and kept their keeper under pressure. We didn't give anything away. Swansea are a good footballing side, but we made sure we got at their back four.
"I'm sure Swansea will still go on and win this league, but there's always a dark horse that comes up on the rails, and hopefully that will be us.
"We're not getting carried away, but it's a great boost for us going into the match with Nottingham Forest on Friday."
