Beleaguered Bolton boss Gary Megson has confirmed keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen will not play again this season due to a back injury.Megson - who watched his relegation strugglers lose 1-0 to Wigan on Sunday - has been hit by the news that Jaaskelainen requires surgery.

The 32-year-old has missed the last two games and Megson admitted his number one needs a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

"He needs six weeks of rest to try and resolve his problem, and he is also going to need some form of surgery," said Megson.

"Either way, his season is over."
