Mathias eyes 'massive' Posh clash

Sun 16 Mar, 03:00 PM

MK Dons assistant boss Ray Mathias insists his side's Good Friday clash with high-flying Peterborough could make or break their title hopes .Paul Ince's Dons leapfrogged the Posh to the top after beating Dagenham 4-0, with Aaron Wilbraham returning from injury in style with a first-half double.

Lloyd Dyer and the experienced Kevin Gallen were also on target as the Dons ran riot to extend their unbeaten run to 10 and condemn Dagenham to their third straight defeat.

Mathias said: "It is a massive game against Peterborough and we need to come here and win the game.

"I probably shouldn't have said that, but we are now level on points with a game in hand so three points is vital.

"Darlington and Hereford are also doing well, but we have had our lull in form and I would expect theirs to come too.

"We pressured Dagenham in the first half and created chances - we had some chances late on as well which could have improved our goal difference, but overall we were very pleased."
