McAllister: It's all to play for

Sun 16 Mar, 03:15 PM

Leeds manager Gary McAllister was determined to remain positive after a draw with rock-bottom Port Vale further dented his promotion ambitions.McAllister's men lost a two-goal lead but looked to have got out of jail when Dougie Freedman headed his second from Sebastien Carole's 86th-minute cross.

But Vale, who are now 14 points from safety with just eight games remaining, refused to lie down and levelled again when Luke Rodgers pounced on Kyle Perry's knock down in the 93rd minute.

McAllister said: "Some people might think we have dropped off again, but that wasn't the case and we still have everything to play for.

"Of course we are disappointed not to win after scoring three goals away from home, but I couldn't fault the work-rate of the team and I'm confident we can push on.

"I was looking for a reaction after losing to Cheltenham and I felt I got that. There were a lot of positives and there are still a lot of games to go."
