Germany striker and Arsenal target Stefan Kiessling has extended his Bayer Leverkusen contract until the summer of 2015.
Kiessling, whose previous deal was set to expire in 2012, is third-highest scorer in the Bundesliga with 16 goals this season and has also been linked with moves to Bayern Munich, Juventus and Milan.
"Me and my family feel at home in Leverkusen and the club have excellent long-term plans, Kiessling, 25, said. Therefore there was no reason to consider leaving."
Leverkusen general manager Wolfgang Holzhaeuser confirmed the deal.
"We were already agreed in principle, so all we had to do was formalise things.
"We're very happy, as with Stefan we have one of the best German strikers in our ranks."

Wow!! Major news item. A player, that Arsenal quite like, has extended his contract with his current club, until 2015. How exciting!! I will eagerly wait for the next instalment in 2015!!
At least it gives me the chance to congratulate Arsenal on being the only London club in the next round of the Champion's League. Cannot feel TOO sorry for Chelsea, naturally, but how can people rave about Inter Milan?? Is players spinning around on the ground clutching their faces every 2 minutes, something to admire?? Is it not worrying that Inter were given carte blanche for "all in wrestling" in the penaly boss with the referee nodding his approval? We could be on the wrong end of the same antics ourselves soon. This attitude from UEFA towards officiating English clubs is diabolical, as it is a completely different rule book being applied.
Is Ballack in England a repeat of his success in German league? NO!
Isnt much of a player anyhow.
Ok, how does this affect us? Im sure there are other lads who have not extended their contract at another club, because they want to move to Arsenal. So this isn't Arsenal news.
