Sam back in the mix for Addicks

Charlton winger Lloyd Sam is in contention for a first-team return for Saturday's trip to QPR after another successful reserve team run-out.The 23-year-old, who is building up his fitness following a month out with hamstring problem, was on target as a youthful Addicks' second string lost 6-3 to Reading in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Youngsters Rashid Yussuff and Jonjo Shelvey also found the net for Charlton, who included first-teamers Luke Varney, Yassin Moutaouakil, Kelly Youga and goalkeeper Rob Elliot.

Graeme Murty, Ibrahima Sonko, Michael Duberry and Brynjar Gunnarson were among the senior members of the Reading line-up.
