Manager Paul Trollope believes Bristol Rovers' 1-0 win at Walsall has virtually guaranteed the club's League One status for next season.Rickie Lambert's first-half goal settled the game at the Banks's Stadium, it was the striker's third goal in as many matches.
The result saw Rovers break the magical 50-point barrier and leave them eight points above the relegation zone, with only a possible nine points available to fourth bottom Gillingham.
"It was a big win for us. It is still mathematically possible that we could end up in the bottom four, but it would take a miracle set of results for that to happen now," said Trollope.
"We have been on a disappointing run where we have had a lot of decent performances, but we haven't had the results that we feel we have deserved at times.
"We have broken 50 points but now we want to push on for 60 and look for a good mid-table finish. If we can push up the table in our last four matches then I think we can look back on our first season back in this division and be reasonably satisfied."
