Killie move for Gretna's Osman

Fri 16 May, 11:30 AM

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies has revealed he has completed a deal to sign Gretna midfielder Abdul Osman subject to a medical. The 21-year-old has agreed terms on a two-year deal, with the option of a third year, with the Rugby Park outfit.

Osman had looked set to return to England, with League One outfit Northampton favourites to sign him, following Gretna's relegation from the Scottish Premier League.

But Jefferies made a move for him and persuaded him to move to Killie and said: "He is only 21 years old and he's one we feel will challenge for the first team and has a lot to come.

"We've kept an eye on him for a while. He's a big, powerful lad that can play in the middle of the park. He's got good feet, is a good passer of the ball and has a presence about him."
