First Division side St Johnstone have signed former Scotland Under-21 goalkeeper Euan McLean from Dundee United on a two-year contract. The former Sunderand trainee struggled to displace first choice stopper Lukasz Zaluska at Tannadice Park and made just six appearances for Craig Levein's side this season.
"He is at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing first team football," said Saints assistant boss Tony Docherty.
"He's hungry but knows he will have to fight hard to displace Alan Main.
"We want to have two very capable goalkeepers fighting for the one jersey and Euan fits the bill for that."
