Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has admitted he would be keen to bring Thomas Sorenson and Richard Wright to Portman Road.Sorenson lost his place in the Villa first team to on-loan goalkeeper Scott Carson and is eager for a challenge, while former Town favourite Wright is also out of favour at West Ham.

Magilton told the Ipswich Evening Star: "Sorensen's agent told us he was not prepared to drop down a division and wanted to stay in the Premier League. If he became available and wanted to come to us we would speak to him."

He added: "If Wrighty wants to come and play he would be welcomed back. A lot of players are prepared to sit in the reserves and not drop down and it baffles me."
