Great Britain defenceman Luke Boothroyd has left Hull Stingrays to join Elite League rivals Manchester Phoenix.
The 21-year-old, coach Tony Hand's third British signing following the additions of Carl Graham and Phil Hamer, was handed his maiden call-up to the national team for the Euro Hockey Challenge last February before making his World Championship debut in Austria.
Hand said: "I watched Luke with interest while we were away with the Great Britain squad and he goes about his business in a very sensible manner.
"He's a good young prospect and I was a little surprised to learn Hull hadn't made him an offer yet. We spoke and came to terms very quickly and I'm sure he'll do a great job for us."
