Cardiff open their season on August 9 with a tough home encounter against Southampton as they seek promotion to the Premier League.They will follow that up with a trip to promoted Doncaster on August 16 but will have to wait until November 29 before they meet Welsh rivals Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

Dave Jones' men will travel to former Premier League side Reading on Boxing Day while they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the league finale on May 3.
