Newcastle have been handed the hardest possible start to the new season after being handed an opening-day trip to champions Manchester United.The Magpies then host Bolton on August 23 before another daunting away trip a week later when they head to Arsenal.
The first Tyne-Wear derby with Sunderland of the season takes place at the Stadium of Light on October 25, while Kevin Keegan takes his side to Middlesbrough on November 29.
Boxing Day sees a trip to Wigan while 2008 ends with a home clash against Liverpool.
Sunderland visit St James' Park on January 31, while the return game with Middlesbrough takes place on May 9.
A home game with Fulham follows seven days later before the season ends on Sunday May 24 with a trip to face Aston Villa.
